A lot of you are new here, so I want to take a few minutes to answer some questions about Tan Land and what you can expect by subscribing.
What’s the point?
This substack let’s me write in-depth about the health topics I discuss on social media.
When I write an article for substack, it will generally include references and links to other resources, like health products that I use, which are hard to post on twitter or instagram.
What do I write about?
By now you must have a good idea about the topics I like to talk about. Specifically, they include:
Natural foods and farming
Environmental toxins
Seed oils and diets
Tanning and sunlight
Exercise and posture
Skin and gut health
I try to write about these topics in a way that not only explains the issues, but also offers practical steps on how to solve these problems in your life.
Why substack?
Substack is cool because it is both a blog and an email list.
By subscribing, you get my posts in your inbox, but can view them later on or share links via the website.
It also allows me to manage premium, paid subscriptions.
Why paid subscriptions?
While I enjoy producing content that helps people get healthier, given my software engineering and entrepreneurial background, I will have even more impact on the world by creating products and services that make it easier for everyone to be healthy.
Notable examples right now include MASA chips and Shire.
Becoming a paid subscriber is a win-win arrangement: for less than a chipotle lunch per month, you get access to my articles full of beautiful imagery and articulate, actionable health content; and I can throw more money at these projects which make the world a healthier place.
Post frequency?
It has taken me a minute to come up with the most sustainable posting schedule, but as of now I plan to post one full article every week.
Most of these articles will have a paywall halfway through, so if you want the full post make sure to become a paid subscriber.
Summary
You want to be healthier and more attractive, without having to spend years of your own life figuring it all out, and want to live in a world full of similarly-minded people.
It’s my mission in life create that world, whether it’s through pure educational content (like this substack) or creating healthy products.
Joining Tan Land is one way to help both of us achieve these goals.
Looking forward to the article!
